Payment & Security

Checkout should be the least interesting part of buying jewelry. Here is what we accept, when you are charged, and how your card details are protected.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • PayPal — from your PayPal balance, a linked bank account or a linked card.
  • Credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, processed through PayPal as the payment gateway.
  • PayPal Pay in 4, where the feature is available in your country.

You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card. Choosing the card option simply routes the transaction through PayPal, which acts as the processor; the charge appears on your statement as a PayPal payment.

Currency

All prices are set in US dollars. If your bank or card issuer bills you in another currency, the conversion is made by them at their own rate, and a foreign transaction fee of typically 1–3% may apply. We never see that fee and we do not receive it.

Any local-currency figure shown on the site is an indicative conversion and may differ slightly from your final statement.

Is Checkout Secure?

  • The whole site runs over TLS, so anything you type is encrypted in transit.
  • Card numbers are entered on PayPal’s systems, never on ours. Your full card number never reaches our server, and we cannot retrieve it even if we wanted to.
  • PayPal is PCI-DSS compliant; card data is handled to that standard end to end.
  • We will never ask for your card number, your PayPal password or a one-time code by email, chat or social media. Anyone who does is impersonating us.

When You Are Charged

Payment is taken at the moment you place the order. Your bank may show a temporary authorisation hold before the final charge settles, usually within three business days. Some banks place an additional hold equal to the order value for a day or two, which is their practice rather than ours.

If a Payment Fails

  • Check the card number, expiry date and the three-digit security code.
  • Check that the billing address matches the one your bank holds — mismatches are the single most common cause.
  • Some banks automatically block the first international transaction on a card. A quick call to them usually clears it.
  • Try a different card, or pay through your PayPal balance instead.
  • If it still fails, email orders@teelabpro.com with the error message and we will look at it from our side.

A failed payment does not reserve stock. If an item is in demand, place the order again once the payment issue is solved rather than waiting.

Invoices and Receipts

A receipt is emailed automatically when payment is confirmed, and a full invoice when your order is dispatched. Business buyers can request a VAT-compliant invoice by writing to orders@teelabpro.com with their company details and tax number.

Taxes

Prices shown on the site exclude import duties and taxes, which are charged by your own customs authority on arrival and are the responsibility of the buyer. See Shipping & Delivery for typical thresholds.

Fraud Prevention

As a cross-border retailer we occasionally hold an order for a short verification check — usually on a high-value piece, or where the billing and shipping addresses are far apart. We may ask for a document confirming your address. We would rather have one slightly awkward email than cancel an order you were looking forward to, and we reserve the right to refuse or refund any order that cannot be verified.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong with an order, write to us before contacting your bank. Almost every dispute is resolved in one or two emails, and a chargeback costs weeks.
