These terms govern your use of this website and any purchase you make from it. By placing an order you accept them, so please read the sections that matter to you — particularly those on orders, shipping, returns and liability.
1. Agreement
By browsing this site or placing an order you agree to these terms of service. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on this page when you place your order.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. By ordering you confirm that the payment method you use is yours, or that you are authorised to use it, and that the information you give us is accurate.
3. Products and Descriptions
- Photographs are of representative pieces. Stones, settings and finishes are produced in small batches, so a delivered item may differ very slightly from the image in shade, inclusion pattern or proportion.
- Carat weights are stated to two decimal places and may vary marginally from the figure shown.
- Metal weights are approximate, because pieces are finished by hand.
- We describe every stone accurately. A stone described as laboratory-grown is laboratory-grown; a metal described as 925 sterling silver is 925 sterling silver.
- Colours reproduce differently on different screens, and we cannot guarantee that your monitor shows a stone exactly as the eye sees it.
4. Pricing and Currency
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude import duties, taxes and carrier handling fees, which are the buyer’s responsibility. We may change prices at any time, but the price in force when your order is confirmed is the price you pay. If a price is listed in error — for example an obvious decimal error — we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than supply at the incorrect price.
5. Orders and Acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm dispatch by email. We may decline an order where an item is unavailable, where the price was listed in error, where we cannot verify the payment or the delivery address, or where we suspect fraud. If we decline after taking payment, we refund it in full.
6. Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through PayPal. Card data is handled by PayPal and never reaches our servers. See Payment & Security for detail.
7. Shipping, Title and Risk
We dispatch within the times set out in Shipping & Delivery, but those are estimates rather than guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery, and title passes once we have received payment in full. Where a parcel is lost in transit, our Lost Parcel terms in Shipping & Delivery apply and take precedence over any general rule of law to the contrary, to the extent the law permits.
8. Returns, Cancellations and Refunds
Returns, exchanges and the 12-month warranty are governed by our Returns & Exchanges page, which forms part of these terms. Where consumer law in your country gives you stronger rights — for example the EU and UK right to cancel a distance sale within 14 days — those rights apply in addition and are not affected by anything on this page.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — text, product photography, video, logos, page design and source code — is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, republish or use it commercially without our written permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages.
10. User Content
If you post a review, a comment or a photograph, you confirm that it is yours to post, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it on our site and social channels. We may remove any content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or off-topic.
11. Prohibited Conduct
- Using the site for any unlawful purpose, or to buy goods for resale without our agreement.
- Attempting to interfere with the site, its security or its availability.
- Scraping, harvesting or bulk-downloading content or customer data.
- Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting your connection with anyone.
- Submitting false order, payment or customs information.
12. Third-Party Links
We may link to carriers, laboratories and other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
Apart from the express promises on this site — accuracy of description, the 12-month warranty and the applicable statutory rights — the site and its content are provided as they are, without further warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful code.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit, lost opportunity or emotional distress. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in your own country of residence where consumer law gives you that right. Before starting formal proceedings, please write to us — almost everything is resolved by email.
17. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A failure by us to enforce a term on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
